After getting a question about fork oil and air gap, I thought I'd start a thread where folks can record routine stuff and make it easy to find.  Mustang, If I'm duplicating another thread please delete, but I did have a quick look first.

Engine:

Plugs - NGK DPR8EA-9 gap 0.8 to 0.9 mm

Cylinder number one is on the left looking to the front

Valve Clearances: Intake 0.10 - 0.15 mm, exhaust 0.15 - 0.2 mm

Drive chain slack -  :doubt WHO KNOWS??  NONE OF THE EFFING MANUALS ARE RELIABLE!!

Engine oil - fully synth, Mobil 1 or similar (stand by for opinions incoming.....)

Engine Oil qty - book says 4litres from dry, but use the dipstick, that's what it's there for.  And know which dipstick you have - it matters!  Use the "search" button (UTSB) to see why.

Coolant - 50% distilled water, 50% inhibited ethelyne glycol mix

Coolant capacity - 2.8 litres but make sure you burp it properly or you'll have it belching out all over the place.  UTSB!

Brake fluid - DOT 4

Radiator cap - 16.0 psi.  General opinion is stick to the geniune Triumph cap,  other brands have been tried with varying degrees of success.  Can be the source of many coolant-related issues.

Fan cuts in:  95 deg C 1999-2001,  103 deg C 2002 - on.

Stat opening temp - 85 deg C (ish).

Tank capacity 24 litres, warning light 3.5 litres (allegedly....)

Engine Management System - there's war and peace on this already UTSB.

Fork Oil:

Type - Kabaya G10 for an equivalent there's a useful table here: http://www.transmoto.com.au/publish/products/7799233/Comparative-Oil-Weights-Table   Look up the CST for Kabaya then find an equivalent in a brand you recognise.

Fork Oil Qty:  1999 - 2001 682cc
                     2002 - until vin 198874 720cc
                 vin 198875 - on 655cc

Air gap:     1999 - 2001 119mm
                 2002 - until vin 198874 107mm
vin 198875 - on 146 mm   (Thanks to Timbox and Cdubya for the information beyond the Haynes manual).

Chain size 530,  links - 1999-2001 116, 2002 - on 114, chain links on 2005> latest cast wheel girlies are 116 and rear sprocket has a different inner hole diameter   thanks Tigergotcha   As you were, TG put his hand up, the box contained the wrong chain.  It's still 114....  :icon_rolleyes:

Tyres:  Front - 110/80-19  Rear - 150/70 17

Pressures:  Front - 36 psi 2.5 bar, rear - 42 psi 2.9 bar.

Battery: 12v 12ah GS GTX14-BS

Bulbs: Headlight 12v60/55W H4, brake/tail 12V21/5W, turn signals 12V 10W
