My 2005 tiger 955i is starting the lose the paint from the lower part of the front right engine. has anyone successfully repainted theirs? i was thinking of getting this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281306923408

but it says not suitable for "air cooled motorcycles", presumably because of the high temperatures

does anyone know what temperate the tiger engine reaches? would this paint be suitable?

KuzzinKenny

Hey ds99 !! not suitable for "air cooled motorcycles" the surface of an air cooled engine is usually rough so the air can cool it better and if ya paint it, it could overheat  :icon_eek:

as ive never painted an engine  :^_^ i cant comment on the fleebay stuff but give it a try and let us know what its like  :icon_wink:

I used this stuff on the L/H crank cover.... from a local hardware shop, almost a perfect match to OEM, it seems to be lasting well.

I used to have long hair, took acid and went to hip joints. Now I long for hair, take antacid and need a new hip joint

I used this on the front of my T509, underneath the exhaust pipes, 4 years ago and it's never peeled, blistered or lost its finish.
