I am changing out my stator and when I pulled the cover, a tsp of oil ran out onto the floor. Is this normal? If not, what is leaking?

It's not unusual to get a small amount.  If, however, you are using oil and there's oil in the airbox then it's time to replace the seal.  Evil Betty, he wrote reams on it in the How To section

I ordered a new stator and regulator from ebay. I installed yesterday and tested with my volt meter. Zero output from the charging system. I was fooled once before by failing to check the main fuse. This time all is in working order. Looks like the stator or reg is bad. I am requesting to send them both back and have them ship me replacements.
