Anyone got input to give on seat modifications/after market seats for the 1050? I'll be covering a lot of territory soon and my @rse is not as forgiving as it used to be.

Corbin? Sargent? Gel pads?

I think my @rse is quite plump enough, thank you. :icon_biggrin: But that is a thought. Having said that, isn't one of the drawbacks of anything 'gel' that it retains heat??? :icon_scratch:

God knows how much I've spent on seats over years on various bikes the best by some margin is a Kahedo also sold by Touratech.

I've not used the gel shorts in hot weather, but Iv'e not noticed any discomfort  :grnb - There's also a 'numnah'?... like those equine types use, or a lamb or  sheepskin I used one for the first time a couple of years ago and it was surprisingly effective.

Ive got some Nike cycling undershorts, designed to be worn under other shorts/trousers, they are a bit like Gents Boxer shorts but with a chammy built in, brilliant in hot weather and stop the dreaded betty swollocks

http://www.kahedo.com/en/motorcycle-seats.html Alas they do not show an option for Triumphs..... and anyway I suspect that they would be quite spendy!!

I had a Corbin on my '00 VFR800 and did nearly 90,000 pain-free km on it, including a few Iron Butt qualifier rides. I'm tempted to do a 'drive-in' to their factory when I am in California in June. Trouble with that idea is that I will have 8,000km of riding on the existing seat to get there. :icon_wink: :icon_lol:

Thanks for that, but omg, be still my beating heart.... 548 quid!!! I suppose no price is too high to pay for comfort, though...For comparison a Corbin seat is about 225 pounds and a Sargent, about 250. And of course they both claim their seats are the 'best' :icon_wink:
