Still playing with the idea of swapping my 855i engine out for the 955i  or if possible maybe a 1050 engine.

Has this been done?  just running it through my head at the moment while I have been on nights (URG)

The 885i to 955i is more than doable just a straight heart and lung transplant same frame etc but God knows how you would get on with the suspension because the 955 sus looks good compared to the 885 which isn't saying much and then you have to ask yourself is it worth it!!!!

The 1050 is a different option because without lifting the 1050 tank and seeing if there's enough room for the Sagem system as opposed to the Jap version who knows?

i noticed that there are two different versions of the 955.  You have one that has similar engine cases to the 855i and then you have one that looks more like the 1050 engine.

I am thinking the 955 is the better option.  just wondering if i can just swap the engine with throttle bodies etc and then swap ecu's to ge the 955 timing/fuelling.  Think the 955 has different exhaust headers too.  the 855 is a round port and I think the 955 is more of a cobra head design

Oh blimey if your going the 955 route you'll have to swap the lot, rolling chassis/bodywork are the same but the motors and everything that goes with it are nothing like.

Where it gets complicated!! When you get 955's turning up on ebay with less than 5000 miles for £2750 why bother with a conversion.

I used to have long hair, took acid and went to hip joints. Now I long for hair, take antacid and need a new hip joint
