The bars are made by Thunderbike in NZ [ www.thunderbike.co.nz ]

That is where I bought the bike from.

They are more practical than they look.

I actually like the look of them now and I do know that they work! Cheers John.

I have TB crash bars on my cat as well.  I think they look quite nice, if you're going for the industrial "mad-max" look. (which I am.)  I've dropped mine once on the crash bars and I can say that they won't save the panniers, but nothing else will touch.
