Beautiful pics.  Great weather for July...

I'm still hoping it will warm up enough here in MN.  I'm out in the country so I don't get the warmth of the city to melt the ice.  It was supposed to warm up this weekend but it's not looking good.

Keep riding for me and post more pics.

Allright, I'll bite.
Why did you go out with the bags on?
I was guessing that you guys had sleeping bags and provisions in case you got stuck out in hinterlands  ?
But really I'm envious, it looked like a great time!
Thanks for the report.

I always ride with the Jesses on.

A)  They hold my snax and trail toolz... hatchet, pruning saw, discarded gear layers...

B)  They're great tipover protection.

He likes it!!! I have ridden it (on road only :( ) and it seems to ride more smoothly than my 05.We went out for a little ride this past tuesday

And a side by side comparison

I don't ride that extreme with the Tiger, save her for the back roads

Looks like you've got some good riding around you. The new KLR looks OK to me. At least they've kept the 21" front wheel unlike the new Honda TransAlp.
It seems, from here, that everyone in the USA has a KLR tucked away in the garage but you try renting one. We're renting bikes from Denver for June/July and have to put up with the F650GS.

Thanks Wvmike,

A few folk over here have grizzled about the reduced suspension travel, but everyone who has actually ridden one has raved about it

8k Oz plus on roads is a bargain too.
