So I was in Pensacola at a Navy reunion and we had a good time....
then I went home....

I left on my Tiger at 6:33am Sunday ..... and arrived home at
3:54am Monday.....

Currently asking that proverbial question.... who are those bastards who design motocycle seats?

Nothing like visiting with old friends.  I'm riding to a reunion in October.

P.S. - Airhawk makes hineys happy.

I think I read your original post wrong the first time Jerry....I was thinking round trip, and knew there was no way in hell you went from Omaha to Pensacola and back within 24hrs!

My original intent was to take my time for and easy ride... so I dinked around until noon. I road along the coast, then thru a couple of forest in MS; Stopped and talked with a rider from LA; piddled my way up to Jackson, MS.

I looked at the clock and thought, ' I'm only 3 hours behind my normal
schedule..... I can make that time up by the time I get to Columbia, MO.
SO I cranked it up.

I made up 2½ hours... so I pressed on home.

I have done this kind of thing each year the past 3 years....
I should be evaluated by a shrink!

If things like this indicated a need for psychological help shrinks would need to build bigger waiting rooms   .  You're fine, add two gallons of gas and call in the morning...........

ahhhh my old stomping grounds there in P.Cola.

Well sorta.  Was raised in Panama City nearby.

Not much to see in P.Cola and other coastal towns that way anymore.  The Condo's block the view of the beach.

Thanks for your Military Service!!!! :!:

A good friend in our squadron was killed in an auto accident on his way back to our base  from his home in Panama City .... Nov 1966.

I told our maintenance officer that Fred was an only child and family very poor. That officer procured a C-47, put together funeral detail, and we flew to Panama City and performed a full blown Navy funeral for Fred's family. It was all they had..... and the Navy stepped up for this E-4 electrician.

I'll never forget that.

That Officers complicated act to make that come together returned to the Navy, it's enlisted, as well as family and friends far more than any dollar-n-cents cost to the Navy.

That was one hell of an Officer you had!!  I'm betting his leadership has done lots of good for all of us in ways we will never know.

Kudo's to him.

Hey... Lil Jason...
Now that I know it can be done.....
we can go to the beach ..... anytime we want.

Soak our butts in the water for a day....

then ride home!

I know.... sit home, watch 'Girls gone Wild' and drink Miller Chill!

Coach Geo:
That officer was one of those guys who every enlisted guy would do anything for.... he always demanded 100% and always paid recognition
in public. Every squadron he was part of ... the story is the same.
