Warped discs/rotors.....WTF...!!

My discs/rotors got somewhat warped which is annoying.
Luckily I need new rotors anyway!

I don't want my new rotors to become warped again immediately (far to expensive  :shock:  :shock: ) so here's my question:

As you can see the pads grip on about 65% of the breadth/width of the disc/rotor. Can this also be a cause of warped discs?
(I do not hold my front brakes when standing still when discs are hot)
