I feel pretty lucky to be able to reach this area within a day´s ride from home. This is Jotunheimen in central Norway, my favorite part of the region.
The two day trip was done on Rocinante with a Transalp buddy last week, and in just a few weeks more I´m heading the same way with another Transalp-friend and with hiking gear in the luggage for the annual "Ride´n hike", a five to six day trip combining gravel riding and mountain hiking. 8)

Lovely scenery, great country
Yep, I would feel pretty lucky with that on my doorstep, nice shots.
Blimey a world away

From Birmingham? Not really.
A real pity that ferry stopped running though. You have to to through three, four countries on mainland europe to get here.:(

Rocinante,
Where excatly in Jotenheimen is this ?
Jotunheimvegen. We came from Bygdin in the west and I Think this is not long after we left Vinstra-vannet. Fantastic area and very easy or high speed roads, depending on your skills.

Nice pics from Jotunheimen, Dag!!
Today was a very nice, hot summerday up here in Northern Norway, so we made a 130 km Tiger-trip up in the Skjomen-mountains not too far from where we live.
Very nice, well maintained gravel roads:

Nice, Arctic! I've only been once to Northern Norway on a bike. I'd love to to back.
