Title: Rear Suspension
Post by: Den Teediem on April 22, 2018, 01:55:02 PM
I have what I believe to be OE rear shick in my 2000 885i.
I'm trying to adjust the rebound and preload, just to have a play and see if a different set-up might improve things for me but I can't get the hex on the reservoir to move..in any direction.
Is there something else I should be doing other than just putting a spanner on and expecting it to turn?
Thanks.

Sounds like its seized, can you see the scale on the side below the ally cover, what number is it on?

Seizure is what i reckon but thought I'd ask!
No sign of any markings anywhere!

Difficult to see, but just below the large silver cap there should be a silver label (Just visible below) marked from 1 to 5 for preload ( 1 being lowest) where it lines up with the bottom of the cap is what preload its set to
