And regarding the fuses, the connectors can become bad, both the main connector for loom to fuse box, and under the fuses themselves.
It's been a few years since I had my Steamer, so I'm struggling to remember, but I don't think there are any other fuses.

Most T400 cdi units will work, they just have different rev limits and some minor timing differences.
Germany has many, as it was very popular over there.
This is probably the best value

Unplugged everything not related to the starting/ignition - same.
Does it have another fuse besides the main one in the "trunk" the rest are labeled horn/head/stuff like that.
Only place I havent checked for good contact is the start stop switch...could it be? Afraid of springs flying everywhere.
Cdi...yes on the way, but what if its a dud?

Think a swap of the cdi is the next place to go...

Petrol flow not relevant, it's being fed by a cup, no filter, no tee in the carb (just rebuilt them).
Even tried running it on starter fluid, no difference, also thought about fueling but still...ruled it out with the starter fluid.
Also float bowls full of gas, plugs full of gas.
Ghost relay is the sidestand/neutral switch thingy, bridged it.
Could all three coils leave the chat at once and cause such madness?

Leftfield, but how's the petrol flow?, the tank filter can collapse and starve the bike, as well as a tiny filter in the Tee near the carbs.

Nothing worked, alternator charging fine, also fixed DAR, fitted brand new pickup coil, no difference, bike starts then stops, sometimes no spark at all.
I'm out of ideas, cdi is on the way but ebay estimates 30'th this month, and of course its a second hand part, who knows if it works...
Anyone have a spare, working cdi?
WHAT ELSE CAN I CHECK?!?!

Here is how I messed up with the loom  :m

https://tigertriple.com/forum/index.php/topic,17268.0.html

Too much contacts/ connections on both plus and minus side of the chain to the starter/ solenoid.
I cleaned thoroughly all of them and had the problem two times more,
one with the lights in the dark rainy night abroad, and one with the solenoid in a chilly morning also abroad and away. My conclusion is that the installation is old and all sockets/ connectors pins seats get weak and develop some slack. Contact is lost from time to time, irregularly, due to vibrations and bumpy rides, but not only. The perfect cure is to replace all sockets/ plugs/ connectors with new one, watertight. It is not an easy fix but is reliable. The walk around is to 'cure' the pin seats inside connectors. Most of them are small and fragile, so pinching is not good. You could use multi-thread thin copper wire to cut small U-shaped wires and to thick in each pin hole a couple of them ( depending how thin are the cut out wire pieces ). When plugging in the connectors after, noticeable effort should be felt, corresponding to the tighter fit of each pin in the socket. Best sockets/ groups to start are the alarm connector inside the tail and both connectors from the handlebar controls ( behind the headlights ). Emergency solenoid power line of course won't harm  :augie

Why exactly OEM gauge, you could easily improvise with another pressure gauge reading max at least 5 Bar.

Pump voltage also, the el.socket is not super tight, so two thin wires could be put in the female orifices before plugging the socket, then use these two for your volt meter.

Have to check was there an easy way to clear long term trims.

Cleaning injectors did not help...

My long term fuel trim seems to have set itself really weird too, was down at -60, I have tried to reset this, but unfortunately the slider on the TuneECU app is playing up (only for the trim) and if I select any number highlighted it jumps to another random number, ie. -10 jumps to +80 and then 0 to -80 and +10 to +60. Doesn't make sense so have a TuneECU query on this as it seems to be a UI issue on the app.

The engine is quite sporadic now, it's fluctuations have worsened, at idle it will stall or bring itself up to around 3000rpm.

On the plus side I think I'm getting there. The fuel pump is noise when priming is getting worse, a very noticeable squeal now. Considering replacing that, the fuel pressure regulator and the filter. Could do with measuring the fuel pressure really but the Triumph part is extortionate. Does anyone know how to read the pump voltage?
